An ongoing collection of paintings inspired by the novels we’ve come to know and love. Drawing from the Penguin Classics list, each novel will be accompanied by several paintings, created to capture not just the story itself, but the joy of reading.
This series is a love letter to literature and dedicated to the reader and lover of art.

Literary Classics can mean a lot of different things, for different people. There are many sub-genres such as "modern classics", and the list of favorites changes by year and by person.
This series is inspired by the Penguin Classics "100 Must Read Classics" list but is certainly not limited to such a list, in such an order. The idea is that books shape our creativity, our inspiration, and drive our desire to explore new and exciting worlds, both similar and different from our own.

If you're curious about this list, eager to see what is potentially on the horizon for this art series, or are looking for a great new book to read, check out the list linked for ease and excitement.
Pride and Prejudice
This collection reflects the mood of Pride and Prejudice, where every painting feels like an afternoon cup of tea. These works invite you to sit in the quiet corners of Austen’s world. A porcelain teacup accompanying the pages of a book or footsteps on quiet paths. Rather than narrating the story, the paintings evoke its rhythm and essence.

Reflecting not just the narrative of Austen’s novel but the lived experience of its pages, Pride and Prejudice is the most classic of novels and brings longing and coziness to the heart of its readers.
